With an extraordinary and extensive repertoire, ranging from early to contemporary music, the versatile accordionist Nenad Ivanović works internationally as a soloist, chamber and orchestra musician. His commitment and talents have shined through numerous recitals and chamber music concerts in various countries, such as Serbia, Germany, France, Switzerland, Austria, Spain, Russia, Croatia, Italy, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Nenad Ivanović can be seen in both small, intimate stage appearances and in grand venues. He appears on a regular basis as a guest performer in Germany's renowned orchestras. A few of these include: SWR Symphonieorchester, WDR Sinfonieorchester, HR Sinfonieorchester, Münchner Philharmoniker, Bamberger Symphoniker, Deutsche Radio Philharmonie Saarbrücken-Kaiserslautern, Deutsche Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland-Pfalz, Philharmonisches Orchester Freiburg. His international presence allows him to work with conductors such as Teodor Currentzis, François Xavier Roth, Péter Eötvös, Ilan Volkov, Sylvain Cambreling, Peter Rundel, Jörg Widmann, Matthias Pintscher, Brad Lubman and others, as well as composers such as Rebecca Saunders, Philippe Manoury, Georg Friedrich Haas, Beat Furrer, Mark Andre, Luca Francesconi, Enno Poppe, Francesco Filidei, Johannes Schöllhorn, Miroslav Srnka and others.
Nenad Ivanović’s renowned talents, especially in contemporary music, have opened the door for appearances at many significant festivals: Donaueschinger Musiktage, Cresc…Biennale für moderne Musik Frankfurt, Wittener Tage für neue Kammermusik, Acht Brücken Festival Köln, ECLAT Stuttgart, and Festival NOW! Essen. He also took part in the prominent Lucerne Festival and performed as a soloist with the Deutsche Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland-Pfalz under the direction of Ariane Matiakh at the "Rising Stars" festival in Karlsruhe in 2016.
Nenad Ivanović was born in Serbia, where he completed his bachelor's degree in the class of Professor Vojin Vasović at the Faculty of Philology and Arts in Kragujevac in 2011 and received the university award "Student of the Year." He then continued his studies with Professor Teodoro Anzellotti at the Freiburg University of Music, where he completed his master's degree and soloist exam with distinction. He is the winner of numerous national and some of the most important international competitions, such as the Premio Internazionale "Città di Castelfidardo" in Italy and the "Coupe Mondiale" in Shanghai (China). From 2013 to 2015, he was a scholarship holder of the Dr. Leo Ricker Foundation and received the DAAD prize for outstanding achievements of foreign students at the Freiburg University of Music. He held master classes in Serbia and Croatia and was a lecturer at the Freiburg University of Music from 2020 to 2022.
Since 2024 he is a scholarship holder of the Kunststiftung Baden-Württemberg.
